@frankmarano1118 Aye, well in fairness it was always going to end more or less like this. That was plain as day 20 years ago when he voted for the war and with the 8 years of ‘nation building’ policy when he was VP under Obama. Trump had already made a deal for American forces to withdraw by May 1st before Biden came into office and there wasn’t much Biden could do except renege on that deal and change the date to 9/11 pissing off everyone in Afghanistan and delegitimizing the Afghan army and the Afghan government. Oh and he could have scrapped the Contingency Crisis Response plan that the Trump administration had left him as well. And when events began to overtake him he could have just fucked off on holiday for a week, come back to have been wheeled out to recite a pre written statement and taken no questions before fucking off again,, at the same time his spokesperson decided to go on holiday and then came back to talk about Covid and walk away without taking questions from the press again. But I like you still think there was no way to get out without the Taliban scooting right in no matter who was in charge. It’d have just been prettier if equipment was destroyed or it and personnel had of been got out first

@prodemocracyseth Trump’s agreement with the Taliban was to have troops out by May 1st so no, Biden did not uphold Trump’s agreement with the Taliban.
