  2. In Germany, we have socialized medicine.... there is one big one "AOK" (Government) and many smaller ones "BKK" etc. that are required to follow government guide lines... They're all required to provide the same services for basically the same price, and it works just fine. We also have Private insurance where you opt out of the system. It's usually cheaper for young and healthy people, but as you grow older and sicker, the price increases. People have come to realize private insurance is a scam and it has become less popular over the years. Problem is, once you opt out you're out forever. I think America needs a system like in the UK... the NHS. Why? Well if the Government doesn't take over everything, they (the crooked insurance companies) will find a way to corrupt the system sooner or later, and we'll all be back at square one.
