  1. My brother and sister in laws were up in the BWCA and stalked by a black bear! They were able to outdistance it, paddling their canoe! They lost it by paddling around a island! After they got back to the parking spot, they were met by troopers, game and fish department workers! They found out a couple people were killed and eaten by a bear on the island that they went around! NEVER trust a bear! More people are killed by black bears than any other breed of bears!
