  1. All dogs are leery, if not frightened, of vacuums. The dogs were equally afraid. The trick is to use PATIENCE to teach them not to be afraid. Stop moving the vacuum, "pet" the vacuum while telling your pet it is okay. Allow your pet to come to you. Once he/she sees that the vacuum can be approach, no more issues. Don't be a monster because the dog doesn't understand!
