  2. Ted Wheeler somehow managed to stay in power using the same strategy big city Democrats usually reserve for Republicans. "I know I'm the absolute worst, but isn't the other guy just terrible? They'll probably burn a cross on your lawn."

  3.  @kyleoden3015  Democrats win in big cities by promising the Republicans (who haven't been in power for decades) will "put y'all back in chains." Doesn't matter how terrible you are, just gotta make the other guy look worse. I'd say Ted got lucky, but it was probably intentional.
