  2. Serious question: wouldn't it be more fair for a society to try to keep interest rates low and to tax the rich progressively? We keep being told to keep taxes low on the rich so they boost the economy with their spending. But what if we tax them more, and then let everyone have more access to credit?? Wouldn't the net result be similar? The rich could just borrow more if they want to invest in their businesses more, and it would be easier for the poor/middle class to go into debt to pay for cars, houses, education, and small-business loans.

  3. Admire your decision to get out of the stock market. I took half my chips off the table recently, because I am young and am thinking about opportunity cost (i.e., it is more risky for a young person NOT to be invested in some equities long term.) Three weeks I thought about selling everything but felt my motive would have been fear and panic. I don't like to make emotional decisions. But TODAY, I wish I did act in panic three weeks ago!
