  6. In such circumstances, the only place to be free is in one's own mind, like this man. Interesting to think that fighting the system might not even be worth it since the majority don't even deserve the benefit. This man has survived staring into the abyss.

  8. ​​ @geoms6263 weirdly, I was told by a Russian grad student that everyone in the school system reads Gulag Archipelago. Well in the US, everyone is supposed to read the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. This kind of thing is needed but the effects are limited.
