  19. @TwitchySkitch  and yet, I have had the exact opposite of your experience. even beyond ob/gyn. in all the specialty physicians I have been through (I'm a physical wreck) women doctors have been far and away more empathetic and patient oriented. they spend more time listening to me as well as investigating current modes of treatment for my myriad health challenges. anecdotal, but I believe it is borne out statistically. women are just better doctors.

  29. The motivation for pair bonding is so different for women and men. It seems to this survivor from the 70s that men began to evolve, but then stopped during the Rayguns years. Now, no one seems satisfied with the status quo. And it's not up to women to fix men and vice versa. I take this as proof that God has an acute sense of the ironic.

  31. Always wanted girls but got one boy in the mix. I am so grateful for my daughter-in-law who is helping my son become a better man. her foot in his behind helped him complete his degree and, with luck, will Propel him to greatness. I can only applaud her determination.

  33. @Tanagra180  knowledge is power. In the end, it's not how they get here, it's THAT they get here safely, and happily (with as little intervention as feasible). After all, healthy baby and mother is the goal. I'm a mother who had babies the old fashioned way, but I know some moms who needed a little help and a few who had surgical births, necessary or just convenient for the hospital.
