  1. Sacrifices in vain will have a heavy effect on morale of troops and respect towards leaders of them. It’s hard knowing when to strike but untrained units are always more trouble than their worth for multiple reasons.

  2.  @zjeee  Ukraine wasted its troops recently. It’s better to lose land than your most experienced troops or throw away inexperienced ones causing a morale problem among the population and shaking the foundation it’s leadership stands on.
