  15. ​ @leeanderironside1898 none of what you've said is true. Ukraine was engaged in a conflict with Russian-backed separatists, legitimate enemy combatants. As for the 'peace deal' offered, it was an unrealistic farce. No one in their right mind would have signed it, handing Russia exactly what they wanted, rather than standing and fighting. Appeasement didn't work on Hitler, and won't work in the case of Putin either.

  27. ​ @RJM1011 the government isn't killing anyone. Any pensioners on benefits, the ones who need the help, will still get winter fuel allowance. What's stopping is the flat rate paid to any pensioner, that more often than not gets spent elsewhere or banked. The taxpayer shouldn't be paying for pensioners to go on holiday or enjoy a few nice meals if they can afford to heat their homes with their own money.
