@bluedragontoybash2463 oh get a grip 😂
3
@bluedragontoybash2463 maybe you should try holding your breath for an extended period of time then

Solar accounts for around 4.4% of all supplied energy in the UK, but wind eclipses it at around 27%.
3
And yet in 2022, over a quarter of all UK energy was supplied by wind power.

@colinstewart1432 maritime sonar on commercial vessels is way more harmful to marine life than offshore wind. The recent spike in people complaining about marine turbine noise is reminiscent of when the fossil fuel lobby tried to convince everyone that tire particulates were the most harmful byproduct of road vehicles, and therefore we shouldn't worry about exhaust emissions. Looks like they've found their latest propaganda line and are pushing it hard.
2
Sadly your subjective opinion isn't factored into UK energy strategy
2
Take the racist bs elsewhere

It didn't say it was

There are less NIMBYs at sea, and wind speeds tend to be greater.
1
On average (2022 data), around 27%. At the time I'm typing this, according to National Grid Live, 48%.
1
Fossil fuel companies also get a hell of a lot of subsidies
1
And? It's still a massive reduction of emissions compared with a fossil fuel-only energy supply. It's not hypocrisy at all.
1
Coal accounts for just 1.5% of UK energy, 1/3rd the amount provided by solar (2022 data).
1
They kill far less than domestic cats. Should we ban cats first?
1
Better than installing fossil fuel plants that belch harmful emissions their entire operational life and cause respiratory disease.
1
In 2022, wind power accounted for 26.8% of total UK energy supply. That's a significant percentage. At time of writing, according to National Grid Live, wind power is providing 48% of the UKs energy needs.
1
It's massively overstated by the fossil fuel lobby, in much the same way they tried to convince everyone that tyre particulates were worse for human health than exhaust fumes. In reality, maritime sonar is far, far worse for marine life.
