  1. believe it or not you can run an engine on distilled spirits. even 160° proof moonshine. but the only problem is no matter how much you refine the spirit it still has trace amounts of water in it. so technically speaking if u do run out of gas and u had a bottle of Johnny walker red it can get u home, however... overtime the water in the alcohol can and will rust out the cylinder walls of your engine and quite possibly cause it to seize.
