  1. That's great and everything but his being wrong resulted in bodily harm and death to people that took his advice. It's irresponsible to be wrong about some things. He shouldn't have gotten involved with something he didn't understand. That's the charitable assessment. The other is that he's just a greedy fuck who doesn't care where the clicks come from and now there's more on this side of the issue.

  3. Call me a conspiracy theory guy but it sounds like hand waving cloaked in science. Many people surely wondered "How the fuck are there only x number of cases with travel continuing willy nilly?". Well now since they won't bother testing it means we haven't the data necessary to nail them down on their incompetence. I figured Canada has been suppressing case numbers until the numbers get meaningless. Here the UK has done one better and said fuck the numbers altogether.

No matter how they (government, NHS etc.) try and explain it away my retort is gonna be that they were in charge. Backlog? They caused the backlog by neglecting everything but covid. Understaffed? They train, hire and pay the staff. Not enough hospital beds? They procure the beds. I haven't even mentioned the main reason. There's no way they can wiggle out of this which is probably why they aren't doing an investigation into it.
