@dylandarnell3657 Just look at the news. At the start they were saying Ukraine was winning and now they are saying they are losing. So they are preparing the public for their defeat. You are a holdout similar to the people that are still getting boosters and wearing masks.

This war is being waged on several fronts. The longer it goes on the more screws Russia can turn in commodity markets, the more division festers in western countries, the more inflation takes its toll in the west, the more depletesd western military stocks become, the more their propaganda efforts work. Plus there is a low intensity war happening in the middle east that can blow up into something big and further stretch the US. There might be more things in the works we are unaware of.
