@paulwarren9927 Yeah. If you take their mission statement at face value they are a defensive alliance. But they use non NATO countries to provoke Russia and feed these countries weapons and intelligence. So maybe Slovakia is just saying let's actually focus on defense and not poke the bear.

@paulwarren9927 They should have never joined NATO though you're right. It's nothing but trouble. Austria has been neutral this whole time and been fine. Finland and Sweden stupidly threw away their neutrality. The problem is at this point if you leave NATO then you have to worry about NATO attacking you. It's the same with the EU. Countries like Slovakia and Hungary will not be allowed to be independent so they do the best they can with their situation.
