  5. Why would Russia stop now? They are about to take another city. They've got another winter to attack Ukrainian infrastructure and for western populations to grumble about their energy bills. Also there is an election next year in the US so they may as well leverage the polarisation there and wait and see if Trump can win.

  6. ​ @cvgodd1432 I think so too. Trump knows Putin is crafty and holds all the cards so he needs to shift the blame for not ending the war quickly to Zelensky. It's not that huge of an issue to Americans aside from the money being spent so as long as Trump doesn't piss away too much more money he'll be fine.

  9. I don't see why Putin would be in any rush to end this. He's gaining ground and he has NATO countries at each other's throats. I think he's gonna slow walk the negotiations by doing a tiny bit of give and take. Trump is going to blame Zelensky and Europe for the delay and when the big breakthrough happens they'll all come crawling to the table.
