Canada is in the same boat.

This is a bit like the government saying they are going to build more houses somehow. Meanwhile it doesn't make sense to build them at the moment. Individual businesses make their own decisions. Even with 25% tariffs it's going to make more sense to order products from the US that come on a truck and take two days than deal with shipping from Europe that takes way longer. Plus we don't have enough port space to replace American products en masse.
2
Our crappy dollar is the biggest reason people won't travel to the US.
2
Or any electric car.
2
It's called aluminum in North American English.
1
@arthurrussell-r3e It's a computer voice. Who knows where he learned English or if he knows English at all.
1
Electric vehicle sales are tanking period. They are garbage.
1
Africa. lol
1
Not really.
1
@MarisB-b8z Europe has junk food too. It just doesn't taste as good. There are plenty of fat Europeans.
1
@gregmchale5011 This is just the new thing to get behind like covid vaccines and Ukraine. People will forget about it when the next ice bucket challenge comes along.
1
We can't. We don't have the infrastructure. This has been talked about for a long time but Trudeau mothballed every oil and gas project he could and furthermore turned Germany away when they came asking for LNG after the Ukraine thing kicked off. Now he acts like he's a big patriot. The US has Canada by the nuts and it's thanks to years and years of bad policy from the likes of Justin.
1
Why do Germans care about Musk or Trump? You should be mad at Biden for destroying your pipeline and forcing you to send money to Ukraine.
1
Hardly anyone drives them anyways. I like Elon Musk but electric cars are garbage.
1
That's actually the answer. Russia has what Canada has and it's actually connected to Europe.
1
Electric cars are maybe one in a thousand in Canada. It's one of the worst electric car markets in the world. I don't think Musk is losing too much sleep over it.
1
It's aluminum in the US and Canada. How can we trade it if we don't even agree on the name?
1
@greatdane3343 Nobody invented it. It is an element on the periodic table.
1
@PizzaTravels Because in Norway people don't drive as far and it doesn't get as cold as a lot of Canada does. It sounds like Norway is run by tards. Why push electric vehicles when you're an oil producer?
1
It would destabilize the EU even further. Every farmer, fisherman, miner, logger etc. in Europe would be extremely pissed off when they got swamped with Canadian resources coming out the yinyang. Look what happened when Europe allowed Ukrainian grain into Poland, Slovakia etc. Farmers and truckers blocked the border. In Canada there would be rampant real estate speculation from allowing 500 million people into an already overpriced market. Ridiculous amounts of immigration from EU countries would happen as well with very little going the other way. Remember what happened with Britain in the EU?
1
Yeah. We already have European cars here and they cost way more than they should. Alot of them are crap too.
1
@constantincracana3882 Audi. Volkswagen. BMW. When they break down they cost a lot to fix because the parts cost alot or because they are put together in a stupid way. They are no better than any other car. People just think they are exotic or something.
1
@constantincracana3882 Japanese cars are where it's at.
1
@constantincracana3882 I wish we had the Hilux but it's not available here.
1
@constantincracana3882 I wouldn't go near an electric car. It's way too much hassle. The charging time alone makes it a no go for me. Plus I don't think they are proven to last very long.

Are you sure trading with Canada is going to be good for Sweden? We've got every resource you have times 20.
1
@1899_Viktorious Russia is the country the EU should be trading with. Not great for Sweden either but you can tariff them appropriately and they have everything the EU needs. I should have clarified that totally free trade with Canada is bad for Sweden.
