  2. The Flag you stick in the ground and say, I proclaim this land for the King of , Spain, France, England, Holland, Germany etc, etc, depending which country you represent. Some Flags were more powerful than others. The ultimate flag was of course the Cross which belonged to the Catholic Church, that would put the fear of god up the Natives.
