From this time on, the right to keep and bear arms belonged to all Englishmen, whether rich or poor. The “right of having and using arms in the US for self-preservation and defense.” This right, brought to North America by the English, was exercised by the colonists against the English during the Revolutionary War and was later incorporated into the U.S. Constitution. America has not yet experienced Civil War, like the English, where Oliver Cromwell used the citizens of England to bear arms and defeat King Charles I, and take back Parliament for the people. Charles was beheaded.. America is now reaching the point where Civil War may be the only option to settle its troubles in politics. America is only 259 years old. England is over 1000 years old, it’s been through more history than America has. Been there done that , America hasn’t been there yet?
