  4. Re reading the fable of totalitarianism (1984) now, 70 years after its publication, is still a shock. First comes the jolt of recognition to what the author describes: Doublethink, Newspeak, the Thought Police, the Ministry of Love that deals in pain, the Ministry of Peace that wages war, the novel-writing machines that make pornography to distract the masses—It all seems so eerily familiar despite its ridiculousness. Then the anxious apprehension starts to creep in. One starts to wonder where we have gotten to on the roadmap to a hell Orwell described, under Biden we are well under way. Doublethink, and Newspeak is with us now. Russia and China together, wars around the world, Biden has taken the World closer to 1984 than you think. Persecution of opponents by corrupt Lawyers and Judges.
