In Canada, a Small Town in BC, called Logan Lake, a dry area surrounded by Forest, prone to Fire Danger.
The Fire Chief, gave the Residents an opportunity to Install Large Sprinkler on their Roofs for $75 installed.
In the Event of a large Forest fire, the Fire department would hook up the Fire Hydrants to a Large Hose running down the street to hook up each of those sprinklers to that high pressure hose. The idea was to douse the Houses with water so Fire Embers wouldn’t settle and set the Houses on Fire.
Well in 2021 BC, Canada had its worst Forests Fires on Record, the Fires Reached Logan Lake, the Houses in immediate danger area were all hooked up to the Hydrants and the sprinklers turned on, not one House caught fire and burned down.
12 Fire departments from other Communities, came and held the Fire from coming into the Town from the North side of the Highway. When I got back from the Evacuation our houses were still standing, Black unburnt ashes covered the Street, the sprinklers had done their job, no hot embers burnt for very long. A Simple cost effective solution that worked. $75 per house installed.
Homes in LA have swimming pools, a pump and a Hydrant in your yard would have saved a lot of homes from burning. Thousands of gallons of water gone to waste.
Wake up Global, I know the facts.
