Author Aldous Huxley's ideas on a light handed totalitarian dictatorship stand in marked contrast to the popular image of a dictatorship that relies on force. Huxley’s dystopia is especially terrifying in that the enslaved population absolutely loves their slavery, and to keep them happy, how? free drugs are issued to the population to keep them ina state of euphoria. This is what the politicians of today offer.
