  1. That’s a record, my wife waited 6 months before she was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer. The Doctors at the Kamloops Emergency asked why this had take so long to get a specialist to look at my wife. I replied don’t ask me, ask the nurse practitioner, she told my wife her weight loss was in her mind. That was Nov 2022, she never started Chemo till March 2023, treatment in Kamloops and Kelowna, she died in August 2023, doctors said she should of seen a Specialist 6 months before I took her to Emergency. Now the Bad news, the $2,500 Death Benefit from the Federal Government is taxable , that is the final insult.

  2.  @ricketycricket3242  yes it was really tough, we have been married 58 years, we both thought I would die first, as I have had quadruple bypass heart surgery 7 years ago. All the preparations were towards my death not hers, I’d change places with her if I could.
