Remote work, do half as much work for double money, that’s all going to come to a grinding halt soon. Big crash coming. Trust me on that.

@1AtticusFinch Well I used to do 10 and 5 and on my five days off , I still got phone calls at home. So the Oil Company and I came to an understanding, anytime I was called on my days off I billed double time, and that was ok with my boss.

@samg8012 I’m a a Engineer who developed Safety Analysis for Refining Operations in Oil and Gas Plants. I create Simulations for Operations Personal on what to do in Emergency situations, and how to handle the risk if Fire and Explosions . So my time on Site is to Train operations Personnel prior to Start up. My other function outside of the Petrochemical Industry is as a Forensic Engineer, so my time and services were in high demand. Im now retired but still consult and work in Forensic Work. So at Home or in the Field. My time was extremely busy. The compensation very high. So I live and work in the real world, not on fantasy island.
