But you have to weigh the costs of turning over a huge dump to find bones, the rats and other thing have picked the bones clean, how do you identify them? The solution, turn the whole dump into a Burial Ground, plant a very large cross on it and give it a special native name to be remembered, it becomes a sacred ground to the Natives and closed as a dump.
