At its core, government exists to serve thlle people—protecting their rights, ensuring public welfare, and the managing resources responsibly. Without ethical foundations, government risks becoming nothing more than a self-serving machine, enriching a few at the expense of the many. The simple answer is: We shouldn’t tolerate a government without ethics. But the absence of government isn’t the solution either—that leads to chaos, where only the powerful and violent thrive. The real path forward lies in demanding accountability and enforcing transparency:    •   Audits Matter – Independent financial oversight is a powerful tool to prevent abuse.    •   Public Pressure Works – When people refuse to accept corruption, they can force reforms.    •   Technology Is Changing the Game – Tools like AI (as DOGE is using) can make it harder for fraud to hide. The alternative is to accept corruption as normal—and that’s a dangerous road to travel.
