Honestly, we in Ukraine aren't partying that much and it's not safe to be on the streets during air raids siren (not that many gives a shit at this point, but people get killed after each of their massive attack waves) and there are quite a few daily. Some of us aren't leaving our homes at all for different reasons. There are exceptions like closet night parties in Kyiv, but those are rather exceptions, and we're not allowed on the streets 23:00-5:00 (may slightly vary from place to place).
But you're absolutely right, we absolutely try to keep normalcy, humanity, friends, morale, fun and mental health. We're visiting each other, going to cinema etc. like people everywhere normally do (except we have sirens and a chance to get killed added to that). So we try to do what we can. I'm surprised that it's surprised anyone.
Also, you can get used to anything. Like I was depressed for 6 month when full-scale invasion started, I had massive non-stop issues when russian missile hit my house, but I'm actually past caring and freaking out, even when large explosions outside are shaking things in my new house. We're just trying to live a life and keep our humanity and what it's offers as much as possible.

Also nearly whole russian community are trying to sabotage Stalker 2, bloggers are thrashing it, they review bombing it, scoring 0s and 1s accross different platforms, posting nasty anti-Ukrainian stuff, troll farms also doing that a bit, they are also buying negative reviews online via different means. Even regular russian people are spreading negativity, including in English-speaking YT comment sections. And don't get me wrong, I don't mean valid issues, there are stuff that needs to be talked about and fixed. I mean intentional malice and hate that isn't adequate. I was generally surprised that World's community received the game better than russians. If anybody told me so pre-russian invasion into Ukraine in 2014, I wouldn't believe it. I'm not sure I would believe it pre-2022 either, despite some clearly started hating on GSC before.
Oh, and I love the game.
