  1. Yeah. Zelenskiy's homecity spoke 99% russian (way less now though). Also 99% hate russian invaders now passionately like the rest of the country. russians target russianspeaking civilians mostly in this war. In Mariupol (Donetsk region) they've killed up to 150k civilians, a mindboggling number. It's really not about the language at all, ukrainians are all united. It's also not about ideology for russians mostly, they want more land, power and control.

They were officially created at May 1st 2014 (a little earlier de-facto) to be government's tool, as a special second russian army, without insignias, to maintain plausible deniability that russian army "are not there", which was russia's official position (lie). Prigozhin was merely a manager who ran it like a PMC group. They've denied it's existence before 2022, including prigozhin himself, until they've came out and started actively promoting it in 22. The point is, they were government project under government's control since their inception, under prigozhin management, until he actually did that coup after full-scale invasion granted him more authority and self-esteem.
