  1. ​ @ladybug2x2y22z  not true at all, everything is wrong here. ussr isn't russia, Ukraine was a founding member of ussr and a separate member of UN during soviet times. Ukraine has a longer history than russia and Donbas was always Ukrainian, I'm from Donbas. russia invaded for conquest, landgrab, not because of NATO or other invented pretexts.

  6.  @Moosemoose1  sorry to disappoint, but no. Only Chernenko has Ukrainian background, surname and lived at lands where ukrainians lived for 200 years by then. But USSR designated them as russia. Khrushchev lived nearby Ukrainian border and had ties to Donbas, but I'm yet to see any hints of his identity as Ukrainian, and he has russian surname and apparently both his parents were russian.
