  1.  @LMarti13  it's not entirely bullshit though. Male population was really decimated by the WWII. And women arrive at male-dominated areas, like factories, much more. And some of them rose at ranks after that. And yeah, ideologically there were more equality in USSR, and at the very beginning of it, but it was quickly scrapped. Stalin made a full U-turn to traditional system in every area. So de-facto it wasn't equality since 30s and at least till the end of war. Yes, women in USSR had more legal opportunities than the west. But the society were much more traditional and patriarchal. I'm from Ukraine btw.

  2.  @marcvester5652  in some regards yes. Well, USSR was the top country of its time. But it was indeed an evil empire. Speaking as the one who were born in it. Son of Chornobyl liquidator too.
