Beware of scummy mechanics and shops out there. They know about the "dogbone" mount in these Camrys and they are always searching to unnecessarily upsell on that with an aftermarket part with poor quality rubber that breaks down in a year and cost them $10-20. And they turn around and charge you $50-100 every chance they get. AND it's EASY so they all love to pull that one. If you need it, get it original from the dealer and be done with it likely for the life of the car.

NOTE: this is not to say in all cases it's a scam. In this case and in cases where the rubber can clearly be seen as torn, the mount does need to be replaced but only if it bothers you or there is adverse interference in driving.

After checking for seized pins and ruling that and there isn't rust jacking underneath the brake hardware "tins," know that in some circumstances in "Rustyland," your rubber line between the hardline and the caliper could in some circumstances be collapsed as well. to diagnose and rule that out, disconnect the rubber line from the caliper (which would be done anyway to change the caliper) and try compressing your caliper piston. If it does not move you had the right and more common diag. But if it compresses freely suddenly now. Uh oh. Caliper then is good, line bad. Braided or steel lines could be an upgrade at that point..
