@2405jacko Actually yes and no. Trans mandatory yes. Coolant. Yes. Preferably, yes. But some fluids that are prohibitively expensive for no good reason, he uses generic. Gear and brake.

@glengrandy2378 Next time ask in a brand new thread for him to answer or have greater visibility. To him anyway. Trans, high recommend for Toyota only. Especially the very expensive new CVT stuff. Yes Aisin makes their own fluid now. Few anecdotes on them. You will hear a lot of salesmen try to sell you the Valvoline Maxlife atf. I can tell you from PERSONAL experience, ONE spill and fill caused problems on cold start for a late 90's unit that used Dexron and again because I didn't learn the hard way the first time, I allowed another customer to do it on a late 2000's unit as well. Both Toyo-Aisin products. That's only 40% drainage each time. Two spill fills later, only is there minor problems on cold startup. Toyo is the best for trans. Coolant is a different story. You can use Asian Valvoline coolant. Pentosin makes a similar product. That one is more flexible. And if you want long life use the red. Or pink nowadays for the new stuff. Don't do the green unless you're dumping and flushing the core every other year. Every two years tops. Or expect clogging/rusting and leaks.
