The Car Care Nut

Great video. I knew about the brake fluid thing from somewhere but can't remember where now. Had to pull a hub off a junk car in a yard and the wheel was off and the axle spline was so rusted the nut wouldn't come off. I said wait, I got brake fluid. And it worked. Another thing some people say to try is ATF+acetone. But you only have that around if you do body work. I think I have problems with my vehicles like you said, the 2000's. My Toyotas have been around the 10-15 year marks. And I think every one of them have "lazy" heaters on the AF sensors. But not out of the spec to light the check engine. So the mileage has been consistently 15 when they should be 20, mid 90's car. Or now, 18 when it should be 24, mid 2000 car. I do the italian tuneup but nothing. Even changing the plugs and wires and filter and cleaning the MAF. Consistently below mileage of what Fuelly consumers average as their self reported numbers. And these are thousands of random numbers so they all can't be lying. And it's not like I'm lead footing it all the time either. Hard to figure out. The exception is not changing the AF and O2 sensors, but at about 80-120 a pop on RockAuto, can't just guess. And a tech wants $50 just to look at the ratio or won't even live data it. Just wants to throw the part on and guess. :/ Can't wait for the live data video.
