  1. 44:50 what is this exactly "not prepared for war" ? I get it, wrt getting/developing state of the art equipment that is lacking...but as regards to men and training; what is it exactly ? Those days professional soldiers were trained in a year..and conscripts in the german british,US army were trained in 10 weeks which eventually went down to 6 weeks. So the fighting spirit can be created within 6 weeks ?! What is it then that men dare to risk their lives ? The defenders (Greeks, british, etc..) simply are pissed /annoyed and WILL do their best to right the wrong. But the agressor invading neutral countries ? The german soldiers did it without asking questions. Might this been because of the drug Pervitin ? The year long indoctrination to Hitler Jugend infection ? And the italians could not get the same drug ? Were not hyped by the Roman historic legacy ? Is it to do with the hang for adventure of NW europeans (Brits, dutch, french, germans, norwegians) as opposed to the homesickness of the italians ? Even today, young italian men STAY with their mums the longest compared with all the european youngsters. Is it indeed a cultural thing ?
