Regarding Pienaar..i only base this on these videos...but perhaps the reason for his lacklustre commitment is the FACT that he saw his South African comrades being SACRIFICED before by the ENGLISH incompetent HQ..he sees AGAIN how a NON-english NewZealander division AGAIn is sacrificed and SENt into a german kessel and AGAIN without PROPER english support. It is as if, according to british imperial traditions and past time alliances (wellington), the british on "purpose" use up their "supporting" allies to grind the enemy, in order to arrive LATE to claim victory.... And Pienaar simply didnot wish to sacrifice south african blood for english'glory....
