  1. I will always give deference to an apology being genuine since part of the purpose of an apology is to be open about being wrong. Even if this boxer secretly hates trans people it doesn't matter as much as her saying she was wrong; her position now, publicly, is that her take was wrong. Which means she doesn't intend to be part of the culture war as well.
