  1. Why is something that is unquestionably a lie the catalyst to truth? Like, you can make some rationale for that with the Bible; that you can go 'this isn't exactly right, and some was just stories passed down over centuries, but it was all attempting to get closer to God'. But there isn't a moment where someone was like 'yeah, we just made a bunch of stuff up'. Everything about the Bible points to it being written by people who sincerely believed what they were saying. But this all kinda screams that it was a game to Smith.

  2. @katesomossy4157  I think I made this comment a little early, and she did explain that somewhat. Your explanation is more rational, but just barely. Why would JS never understand it was a catalyst and believe he was translating?
