Actual doctors have studied this and know that kids can make the relevant parts of these decisions just like kids have made decisions related to their medical care for forever. I am a parent. I trust if my child says 'I hurt' that they hurt. If there is a problem I take my child to a doctor and if my child and the doctor agree that they want to go through a treatment, knowing the possible risks, I will support what will make my child healthy and happy. This law says that no child can get this treatment because it makes some people upset. And children will die. Children aren't as stupid and irrational as you think... or as you. I return to the question: why do you want children to die?

  9. This treatment is rarely surgery. It's mostly medication. Children can make irreversible medical choices. They can agree or disagree to having dental surgery. It is rare but surgeries like joint replacements are things minors are part of when deciding. And this doesn't even allow when parents agree with doctors about these life saving treatments. Why do you hate children? Why do you want them to suffer and die?

You need to remember that knee replacements have a way higher regret rate. The reality is the treatment works. It saves lives and improves lives. In fact, we knew this nearly a hundred years ago... but then the Nazis hated the research and they burned it. But now we've figured it out again. Gender affirming care makes people's lives better.
