  2.  @honestto8 it will not. the moon is a lot bigger than you think. If we mined 1 BILLION tons of lunar material every single year, it would take 800 MILLION years to mine just 1% the mass of the Moon. There is nothing to worry about. It’s far too large for any mining to alter its mass in any significant way.

  3. yes, we actually can make a breathable atmosphere. The moon’s top layer of crust is 40% oxygen by mass, and there’s enough of it to last millions of years. The moon has all we need to make more breathable air than we know what to do with. And creating oxygen on mars was tested by the perseverance rover, and it was successful.
