Sadly the World is a better place without people like this guy, but I do not see any self defense here. He was leaving the place! That man shot him in the back because he was angry and thats not who we are. Of course in Texas things are different as demonstrated by the police not arresting this man and charging him with manslaughter. Had the robber been a white man and the shooter a black man I suspect things would be different. The fact that the cowardly shooter fled demonstrates to me that he knew he'd done wrong. Throwing coffee on a dead man? This is manslaughter, and ironic in a State that claims to be pro life. Mr Washington deserved a life in prison, not the death penalty.
