Protect Priests who rape children but dismiss Nuns who fight for their Monastery! That property was given to them by a wealthy family directly to the Carmelite Nuns not the Catholic Church. I so dislike organized religion and the greed and power that comes with it.

@stevevasta stood up to the Bishop who was trying to take their Monastery which was donated to THEM not to the Catholic Church. If they are no longer Carmelite Nuns then who does it belong to now?

@ I don’t to be honest I’m in sex offender treatment and some of our worst offenders were church leaders church staff daycare staff and as for Christian counseling we have victims whose predators were protected by the churches and church leaders. I’m working with a 24 year old offender who was raped repeatedly by a Christian counselor from 15 to 18 and when he made his outcry to church leaders they blamed him told his parents he was a bad apple and sent his rapist to Florida. I’m trying hard to get him to go to Dallas Police crimes against children’s department and make an outcry now so that creep in the now Florida church can be stopped. Counselors are also notorious for telling abused women to stay in unsafe marriages because it’s Gods will. Counselors should be professionals and leave religious beliefs out of it. Catholics especially meddle in abortion issues and have very backwards views about women’s rights and place women behind men. Forcing them to be brood mares. It’s toxic. We have Parkland in Dallas religious hospitals aren’t free!

@ lol.. and so many conservatives claim to be BIG Christians but act the total opposite from the way Jesus Christ did! He’d be painted as a woke hippy and heretic by many! Free thinking spiritual people like myself didn’t leave the church because of a lack of Gods love or the love Jesus Christ we left out the tiresome people like yourself who focus on political ideology when religion comes into play! Homosexuality! Divorce or abortion or any other damn thing they disagree with and seem to think they are allowed to speak for God on. God doesn’t need a lawyer to speak for God. And I don’t need some ridiculous 2000 year old book written by men claiming to know what God thinks to tell me that kindness matters, or that being generous and caring is the way. I know that better than many religious conservatives. I don’t mistreat I legal immigrants and say they’re eating pets! And I wouldn’t vote for a convicted felon who cheats on wives and boasts about grabbing women’s privates. Nice attempt at the moral superiority there over liberals…

@ I am a full time volunteer I’ve given lots of money to food banks and helped people on my own without having to support superstitious organizations that push unwanted babies on women and children and guilt trip into confessionals! lol. Their charities come with strings
