Preachers and other toxic zealots have always said we are deeply as shamed of ourselves and psychiatrists used to say we were miserable. During the Stonewall riots protesters spoke up and said we aren’t ashamed, another said I’m not miserable I’m gay meaning happy. Pride and gay came to a symbol for us. You wanna take it away from us go for it, we’ve seen worse than you. Your type gets old but you’re nothing new. Try empathy. You’re a medic you HAVE to have some empathy in you, let it grow.
