  1. Such ignorance! Stop shaming patients who go out and get a prescription. Stop illegal drugs coming across your BORDERS, and when a patient comes into a hospital in excruciating pain - believe them and don’t flag them as drug seekers. I owe my life to a doctor who believed me and prescribed my opioids (yes, Oxy). Since that day I’m able to get out of bed and go to work. I had two surgeries, they barely got me where I am today. I am one in 10 women affected by this condition, and many others have other chronic conditions. Trust me, there isn’t one over the counter painkiller I haven’t tried, they did nothing but damage the lining of my stomach. Go outside and meet the patients. Especially ones given ibuprofen after surgery, like me, and told “I can’t be in that much pain” as I lay screaming in the hospital. Don’t be the jerk who makes a cancer patient or a chronically ill person commit suicide because their prescription got cancelled and they lost their house because they became bedridden again. Don’t prescribe seizure medication to someone who doesn’t have seizures - it’s also dangerous to people without seizures, same goes with chronic pain. A druggie will not go to a doctor to get pain meds, they’ll go to the street corner, while honest people in real pain get denied and “flagged”. If you suspect somebody is abusing their prescription - call their doctor. If you don’t know - educate yourselves or butt out. I’m done hurrying friends.
