  2. The Nazis did to the land of Poland what they did to the bodies of the Jews. And it’s still a hard topic because some Poles collaborated with the Nazis and many were heavily antisemitic, but they also suffered like those who weren’t, and that’s why I’ve learned never to raise that issue with any of my Polish friends.
