Just don’t confuse captive bred rats with wild rats.. I made that mistake because we didn’t want to kill the giant rat that moved in with us… After getting scratched by the smelliest, meanest wild animal I’ve ever seen, we called the exterminator. No guilt whatsoever, apparently guilt goes away after a week of zero sleep. 🤷‍♀️ We had pet-rats when I was a little kid, so we didn’t want to kill it at first. It really is a shame that people think rats are gross and scary, but that’s because the wild rats are all that and more. That’s extremely dangerous.
