  2. My first impression of black culture as a Jew was: omg, they used our story of living through slavery to get themselves out. Hold on, we will never let you go, and thank you for setting it to the most beautiful music as well. This was my 16 year old self’s first impression of all black Americans (before visiting and meeting anyone). I’ve always had that in the back of my mind, we are connected, we compliment and empower each other. Always. ❤️
