  1. When interviewed, the participants said they were encouraged to behave in that way. And I Believe them because this crap doesn’t just happen on day two of a two week experiment. In early stages people usually comply first - look at “two weeks to flatten the curve”. I’m convinced Zimbardo knew he only had two weeks and that won’t get him anything, so he kept encouraging the guards to be sadistic and maybe the prisoners to rebel. No one rebels as a group on day 1! Zimbardo’s wife found out he was a sadist. I don’t believe any of the data which came from this “experiment”. He was just trying to make a name for himself after the Milgram experiment and he didn’t care who it would hurt. The guy looked like the devil for crying out loud!!

  2. What is known about Zimbardo’s childhood? Many children in NY back then have been experimented on by satanists (the satanic panic is actually a real thing.. Especially in NYC where the son of Sam was also active at the time).
