  1. I know we can’t take the Bible literally all the time, but we have very good evidence that in ancient Egypt leavened bread was the norm. When the Israelites didn’t have time to let their doe rise it was a whole thing that turned into a holiday with matzo, so it shows that even the Israelites, who were slaves, weren’t used to eating flat bread… food for thought.
