If you hate his domestic policies, you can't have much empathy for your fellow (average) Americans; Chomsky has always believed in a free press, - and pointed out that the Press is for sale, like most politicians. He's brought attention to American meddling in the elections of other countries, and exposed US hypocrisy over the same being done to them. He's pointed to the level of Corporate control over both parties in terms of taxation and regulation, to the detriment of the American population as a whole ... I'd say his views on both foreign and domestic policy are pretty accurate. You can like Bernie Sanders or hate him. - I'd say Sanders' empathy and caring for the average American is rather similar to Chomsky's, but evidently the American voting public doesn't like honest politicians like Bernie. Pity ...
