Trump doesn't care whether his VP-pick is ready to assume the Presidency - in the event of him (Trump) being unable to serve, because his ego wont allow him to conceive of such an event in the first place ... in actual fact, Trump is unable to serve right now - nor was he suitable to the calling in 2016. Trump was elected, narrowly, by three kinds of Americans : The perfectly rational people who were sick of BOTH sides basically ignoring THEIR interests & were fooled into thinking that Trump gave a shit about them - he didn't then and he doesn't now ; the OTHER rational - if cold-blooded Business types that wanted the standard GOP Top-down Tax cut, you know, the SOP Trickle-down formula that rarely trickles down very far : AND the other variety of single-issue folks, bent upon EITHER forming a Christian Nationalist / Pseudo Fascist state ans the duller-witted " Christians " that THINK only THEIR GOD can fix things & in the most common Christian fashion, the THINK they have the " Right " to force THEIR GOD on all of the rest of us - by Legislation, Indoctrination - AND Force, if necessary ...
